the singing hearts.

first of all, i am willing to write this because of reading my senior high school junior's blog http://ayusepta.blogspot.com/ Septa Ayu Bungasari while she's writing about Indonesian Indie music, and i thought that i have to share some of the music i love, because it may be your next favorite also :)

i used to getting easily attached with any musician who really loves music and sing with their heart, not produces music from their mouth. i know many of them, but only few i can remember recently.
they definitely fall in love with the story behind the song, and dive deep down. they feel it and sing it with heart :)

These are indies singer from around the world,

Allen Stone with his 'Unaware'. His voice will brought you to heaven.

Joe Brooks with 'Someday'. his 'Superman'  also great eventhough the lyric is a lil bit cheesy. ahaha

Sam Ock is awesome, but i adore Clara Chung so much and i forgot when i found her very first fideo. she's a talented asian girl who can really sing, play a lot of instruments such as guitar, bass, xylophone, piano, percussion, trumpet, etc. she is really beyond awesome!

the cute couple from The Honey Trees with 'Find Home'

The Paper Kites with 'Bloom'

She and Him, with 'Sing'. Me and my best friends favorite, been singing this song almost everyday on our way to college. A simple yet heartwarming song. Am personally love 'You and I' song.

Banda Neira, an Indie Band from Bandung, Indonesia. This one was recommended by my best friend Rachel Febrina :) and am too in love with this song. and also the another in the album.

Payung Teduh with their originals, ' Berdua Saja'. They both traditional and international! Traditional style in an Internatinal quality of music.

Frau with their originals 'Sepasang Kekasih yang Pertama Bercinta di Luar Angkasa'. They are really doing a story telling through songs. and a little theatrical. i can feel their song being played all around the haunted amusement park. whehehe

(click the URL above, don't know why the video won't appear here. but clicking this, it's really worth your time)
Compassio Veraque, an Indie Band from Depok, Indonesia with their song 'Udara Gratis'. The vocalist is Luthfi Yuta, my best partner in crime recently and my junior in college. this song is actually originally made by him and being played for the band. I love how they put love and transfer energies to each other, and how they express everything in their poetic way. I love mas Bob Prakasa also, he is a very adorable man, really with a breathtaking voice. Haykal Hafizul or known as Pijul and Arditya Putra or known as Tegank played the guitar. All of them are students and alumnae from Faculty of Psychology in Universitas Indonesia, except Luthfi. Oh yeah if you like rock music or alternatives, you'll definitely love Haykal's another band, BDS. i love them a lot, too! if i get the video of BDS i promise i will post it here :)

the rest of them are from major labels music. but still, they are THAT musician i refer to in this writing, such as

Jamie Cullum, with his 'What a Difference a Day Made'

Norah Jones, with her 'Seven Years'

Gotye, with his best song ever 'Save Me'

Jason Mraz, with his 'Love for a Child'
I never care if people call me mainstream or whatever because am too overly attached with Jason's music. But i found a magical malodies in his every songs. Most of all, he wrote all of his songs from his deepest thought and tell the world about it, with a singin' heart. Even his mumbling is beyond awesome!

Sara Bareilles at a live jamming session, with her 'Many the Times'. She definitely always feel the song! :')

Ingrid Michaelson with Elvis Presley's most touching song, 'Can't Help Falling in Love'. I love her for years, but love her more when i heard this. I can't help falling into tears also while listening. She feel it, and tell it to the listeners. Maybe even you don't know English at all :'' thanks for my best friend Luthfi Yuta who told me to listen to this, you rawk! haha

Ever heard two angels made harmony together? Here's 'Winter Song' by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson

Ed Sheeran with his 'Autumn Leaves'

and so many singer i forgot this time. but i guarantee you, there's so much more singing hearts that roars around you. you just. don't realize them yet. they are the kind of singer that you would always wish to sing live. it's faraway better than the recordings.

oh yeah, and i recommend you some of my best fellas at my College, Architecture - Tarumanagara University. am honestly confused, is this a school for future architects or for future musicians? or, both?
